How do you know you are a Christian?
How do you know you are a Christian? Let’s read Romans 10:9, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” We confess that we need a savior (our savior is Jesus). We repent of our sins (turn away) and be baptized (showing our support of Jesus) in front of other believers in Jesus.
Should I give up certain things?
As a new Christian, should I give up certain things? Before you gave your life to Jesus, you were a dead man or woman. After giving your life to Jesus you are cleansed from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). It won’t happen in one day, it won’t happen over one month, and it won’t happen over one year, but you will change over time. You will begin to see the world as it is. Believers are not of this world, we may live in this world, but we are not of this world – John 17:14&15. We won’t live in our perfect bodies until we reach our natural home, heaven.
What happens when a Christian dies?
When a Christian passes on from this life, you will begin your destined life with Jesus in heaven. Remember what Jesus said, this is not your world. Your world is yet to come. John 14:1-3. The problems of this life will pass away when our time is up, and eternity begins with our creator, savior, and our guide.
